This tutorial was written July 6, 2008, by InkkFreakk.

My tutorials are registered at TWI

The author assumes you have some basic working knowledge of Paint shop Pro and Animation Shop.

Any similarity to other tutorials is unintentional.

Written in Paint shop Pro X1 but will work for other versions as well with minor adjustments.

If at any time you feel you know your psp well enough to alter steps to achieve the same thing feel free to do so.

After all, tutorials are only guidelines. You should always try to deviate from the tutorial and make your creation different while still learning the methods and techniques.

Please read through the tutorial before you begin.

My tutorials can be long so take your time.

I want to teach you something other than copy and pasting, but in some instances you will do just that before the fun steps.

Tips are shown in green throughout the tutorial.

If you have any issues with my tutorials or suggestions feel free to contact me through my blog.

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 1

===================

Open a new image 500 x 500 in psp

Flood fill raster layer with white

Rename this layer white

Add new raster layer

Flood fill with a paper of choice from your kit

Rename this layer paper1

Apply WSL_Mask222.jpg

Merge group

New raster layer

Flood fill with another paper

Rename this layer paper 2

Apply WSL_Mask205.jpg (circles)

Merge group

***TIP***

Usually scrap papers are large so you can do 1 of 2 things here

Either select all then copy and paste into selection

Or

Use it in the materials palette and reduce the percentage size to your taste.

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 2

=============================

Copy and paste your tube to your new image

Reduce as needed and place where you would like

Add a drop shadow

TOOLBAR – preset shapes/ellipse tool/circle

MATERIALS PALETTE – make foreground a different color you can see

Make background null

Draw a circle around her face or whichever part you choose.

Try to make is close to the size of the circles in your mask

I have used her face.

TOOLBAR – selections/magic wand

Click inside the circle you made

LAYER PALETTE – right click the tube layer

Promote selection to layer

Deselect

Reduce the section you created to fit inside one of the circles on your mask

Drag it below your circle mask layer to size it properly to fit

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 3

Activate the paper2 layer

We will be working with this layer for a bit now

When you duplicate this layer it will become fuzzy looking

Don’t worry about that, it won’t be that way when we are done

Unhide the face layer you made to fit in the circle

Duplicate it until you have 4

Mirror 2 and place in what circles you want them.

Make sure they are below the mask layer

We will merge them later

This step is only for placement

Do the same with several elements or flowers

See my example for ideas.

Once you have them all placed where you want them continue to step 4

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 4

Now lets merge all these layers.

Count how many little faces and elements you have behind the circles.

Duplicate the mask layer so that you have the same number of layers.

My example has 12 layers

Once you have 12 mask layers you will now merge one each of that layer and the little faces and elements.

Pay attention to how you alternate them

Do a face layer then a flower layer and on opposite sides so they jump around as in my tag

So when you are done you have merged 12 element and 12 mask layers and are left with 12 of these merged.

Rename them from 1-12

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

STEP 5

Add any other elements you wish to add

Add your copyright

Merge anything below your mask layers

Duplicate until you have 12 total

Merge anything above your mask layers

Duplicate until you have 12 total

Hide all but the bottom ones of each layer

Merge, hide, unhide the next ones in each, merge and repeat until you are reduced to 12 layers

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 6

Add your name layer

Duplicate until you have 12

Merge with the other layers as you did above

Save and then open in animation shop

***TIP***

Remember to save your image after each step

Step 7

Once you open in animation shop you will need to change the frame properties for each frame

Right click each frame/frame properties

Change the display time to 60 on each one

Save your tag as a gif and you are done.
